Head of Edge Computing Unit

Ana Juan Ferrer (female) has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Since 2006 she has been working in Atos Research and Innovation, where currently she is Head of Edge Computing Unit, which focuses its research on Edge and Cloud Computing technologies, distributed systems, and service engineering.

In addition, she is coordinating the PLEDGER project that investigates methods and tools to ensure applications' Quality of Service over distributed edge and cloud deployments. Previously, she coordinated mF2C project researching on coordination of Edge to Cloud workload execution coordination. Other projects she contributes/has contributed to include: ASCETiC, I-FLY, DECENTER, OPTIMIS, Helix Nebula, SLALOM, NUBA, NEXOF-RA, BEinGRID and Crosswork.

Ana acts as Cluster leader for the E2 Software & Services, Cloud Computing Unit “Future Cloud” cluster, which agglutinates collaboration of 25 related projects.

Ana is a founder member of Atos Scientific Community and Distinguished Expert in Edge Computing domain.
