MARVEL aspires the convergence of a set of technologies in the areas of AI, analytics, multimodal perception, software engineering, HPC as part of an Edge-Fog-Cloud Computing Continuum paradigm, to support data-driven real-time application workflows and decision-making in modern cities, showcasing the potential to address societal challenges very effectively.

This European project address the rising challenges in the Big Data Value chain regarding data acquisition, data analysis and processing, data storage and curation, and data visualization. And prioritizes and strengthens open science and open data through sharing a Data Corpus to drive research and innovation in multimodal processing and analytics. It also engages citizens to promote breakthrough innovation.

Our role

ATOS will utilize its Data Acquisition Framework to enable MARVEL to deal with the massive amounts of data generated in the project pilot fields.

Therefore, it will contribute to WP2WP3 and WP5 by leading T5.4 on benchmarking, while it will use its big network and affiliations to contribute to WP7 which includes market analysis (T7.1) and sustainability support (T7.5).
