R&D Team Leader

Rodrigo got a high degree in Computer Science in 1995. He is working for Atos since December 1999. In 2001 he joined the Atos Research and Innovation group, the R&D arm of Atos Spain. Until 2009, he worked as Senior Engineer in the Aerospace and Communications Unit of the Atos Research and Innovation department in Barcelona. He has been involved as technical manager in several EC, ESA and GSA co-funded projects related to satellite communications (EuroSkyWay, WAND), satellite navigation (GEO6, GAC), GMES (PEARL), aeronautics (ASPASIA, ATLANTIDA) and sensor networks (Sensation).

In 2009, he joined the Security Unit and from then on, he has been collaborating as technical manager in several FP7 and H2020 projects such as: TREDISEC (Trust-aware, REliable and Distributed Information SEcurity in the Cloud), WISER (Wide-Impact cyber SEcurity Risk framework), VisiOn (Visual Privacy Management in User Centric Open Environments), CIPSEC (Enhancing Critical Infrastructure Protection with innovative SECurity framework), ANASTACIA (Advanced Networked Agents for Security and Trust Assessment in CPS/IOT Architectures), SMESEC (Protecting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises digital technology through an innovative cyber-SECurity framework), CYBERWISER.EU (Cyber Range & Capacity Building in Cybersecurity), STOP-IT (Strategic, Tactical, Operational Protection of water Infrastructure against cyber-physical Threats), CUREX (Secure and Private Health Data Exchange), SDN-microSENSE (SDN-Microgrid Resilient Electrical Energy System), ENSURESEC (E2E Security in E-commerce and Delivery Service Ecosystem), CARAMEL (Artificial Intelligence-based Cybersecurity for Connected and Automated Vehicles), CONCORDIA (Cyber security cOmpeteNce fOr Research anD Innovation) and CyberSec4EU (Cyber Security Network of Competence Centres for Europe) among others. Currently, he is the Head of the Cybersecurity Unit. Since February 2015, Rodrigo is member of Atos Scientific Community. The Atos Scientific Community is the best 100 scientific people from within the organization.

Since 2016, Rodrigo is also member of the Atos Expert Community contributing to the Cybersecurity domain.
