CPSoSaware aims at creating a new holistic model-based design paradigm that is extended during the operational phase of the CPSoS and supports an autonomic, cognitive, self-awareness mechanism for the CPSoS components and system as a whole. The CPSoSaware approach is supported by two concepts, the CPSoSaware Model, Optimize, Design, Deploy (MODD) and the cognitive, cooperative control. 

The solution will rely on Artificial Intelligence support in order to strengthen reliability, fault tolerance and security at system level but also will be able to lead to CPS designs that work in a decentralized way, collaboratively, in an equilibrium, by sharing tasks and data with minimal central intervention. 

Also, the CPSoSaware system will interact with the CPS/CPSoS human users/operators through extended reality modules (AR glasses, haptics interfaces) to increase human situational awareness but also to include human behaviour n the CPSoS design and operation phase (using human based reinforced learning of the CPSoSaware). 

Our role

Atos participates with an active role in the development of the security pillar of CPSoS, with activities ranging from security-by-design, with the integration of cybersecurity concepts and processes in the models and methods for creating secure and trusted systems; to the protection of the systems both in simulation and operational mode, using monitoring solutions, anomaly detection and security applied to the specific characteristics and needs of the CPS systems.
